What is Home Job Position?

What is Home Job Position? Is Home Job Position a Scam? A Home Job Position Review.Home Job Position appears to be owned by an organization hiding behind several corporate names such as Apply Knowledge, Essent Media, and Net Training. This organization was investigated by the FTC and is not permitted to do business in Utah, Oregon or Washington, DC. For simplicity sake, I’ll refer to the elusive organization behind Home Job Position as Apply Knowledge.

In addition to hiding behind layers of corporate names, Apply Knowledge also hides behind dozens of websites promoting the same scam, such as Work at Home Revenue, Work at Home EDU, Home Profit System and Secure Job Position. Notice the similarities in the names.

A Home Job Position Review.

When you visit Home Job Position, you won’t learn anything about the offer. Instead, you are told you can change your life and start making money immediately. The first page of the Home Job Position leads to a second page with even greater promises and deception. You are congratulated because there are a few “positions” available in your What is Home Job Position? Is Home Job Position a Scam? A Home Job Position Review.area. Home Job Position strongly implies that it offers you a job. However, it’s not a job.

Home Job Position is Selling a Dream.

Home Job Position is selling a dream that all your problems will be solved with their system. They even promise you a “100% Risk-Free, Make-Money-Or-It’s Free Guarantee.” In a moment, I’ll show you why the Home Job Position guarantee is meaningless, but for now, let me show you how incredibly dangerous the Home Job Position truly is.

Is Home Job Position a Scam?

If you fill out the form on the Home Job Position website, you go to a sales page with a very curious and incriminating term of phrase. It says, “If You Can Spare 60 Minutes A Day, We Can Offer You A Certified, Proven And Guaranteed Home Job To Make Up To $379/Day From Home!”

This exact phrase is quoted word for word in the FTC investigation of Apply Knowledge. You can read the FTC’s press release of the investigation here.

If you click a get started button on the sales page, you will go to the order page. There you will discover that the Home Job Position system is nothing more than a stupid eBook that costs for $97. The eBook teaches link posting. Link posting is a mind-numbing, time-consuming, and ineffective way to make money online.

ScamAvenger Girl giving thumbs downThe eBook is worthless, but that is not the worse part of the scam. If you buy Home Job Position eBook, you are entering the Apply Knowledge a scam machine. These scammers now have your phone number and your credit card info. With this information, professional telemarketers will hound you with more worthless make money online offers.

In their investigation, the Federal Trade Commission proved that Apply Knowledge ultimately scams people for $12,000! The worthless $97 eBook is just the beginning of a much larger scam.

No Home Job Position Guarantee.

Home Job Position promises many things. There is even an official-looking guarantee that claims you have 60 days to try the system without risk.

However, take the time to read the Home Job Position Terms and Conditions, and you’ll discover that there is no guarantee and Home Job Position does not give refunds. To make matters worse, the Home Job Position Terms of Service specifically states that there is no guarantee and that if you find fault with their product you and not the company will be responsible for fixing it. In other words, if you don’t like Home Job Position, it’s your problem, not theirs.

If you give Home Job Position your money, you will not get it back. Plus, Home Job Position will continue to try and get more of your money as fast as it can.

The Final Word on Home Job Position.

Home Job Position is not a job and it’s not a position. It’s a stupid over-priced eBook. However, the eBook is just the beginning of the scam.

In a press release, The FTC revealed that most people who bought into the Apply Knowledge scam did not make money. Instead, they suffered heavy credit card debt up to $12,000.

Two Kinds of People.

There are two kinds of people searching to make money online. One group, I call “Opportunity Seekers.” The other group is entrepreneurs.

An opportunity seeker wants an easy, get-rich-quick gimmick. He does not understand how money is made and doesn’t want to learn. Typically, an opportunity seeker chases after one so-called opportunity after another. These guys are easy marks for scams like Home Job Position who tell them what they want to hear and promise easy riches.

In contrast to the opportunity seeker, the entrepreneur understands that making money online requires a problem-solving mindset and the ability to offer value to people who are willing to pay for it.

  1. Hey Gary,

I would like to thank you about the information of home page is a scam website as you will help many people not to be a victim cheats. It is an informative article about that topic.
Anyway, as I have a good knowledge and background of online marketing, I think that the Online Entrepreneur Certification Course will be a benefit for any person wants to start earning money online.

  2. As said above it is a real shame that stuff like this can’t be taken down.
There is no positives to introducing people to schemes where their work efforts become so mind numbing they cannot stay the pace long enough to earn even pennies.
    Thanks for this information.
Will be checking in on your blog.

  3. Thank you so much. I always see these dumb make money online scams but some part of me hopes that they aren’t a scam and that what they promise is possible. Thank you for showing that they are indeed a scam so I can move on.

Google should be able to take down these websites somehow, or if it already can it should do it more often…

    Excellent article!

  4. Enjoyed site good job on explaining and giving examples of scams. I would like to know how did you create your CTA? I tend to forget that part. When you create your CTA is from you or it from an affiliate that you represent? Gary do advertise on any other sites.

    1. Hi, Tony Burse/TomKatt!

Thanks for your kind words. By CTA, do you mean my call to action? The CTA at the top of the page is from a Wealthy Affiliate banner. The CTA at the bottom of the page is one I created.

I don’t advertise on other sites. I’m not a fan of ads or banners. People are becoming blind to graphic ads. I prefer to put CTAs in my content, both written content and video.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  5. Hi Gary, thanks for exposing these awful scammers taking money off of people who can’t afford to lose it. It really is unbelievable the lengths they will go to to scam people. A good rule of thumb is if they are offering the world for nothing then it is a scam. The only way to build a legitimate business from home is to use a platform like Wealthy Affiliate, where you will be taught from scratch how to build a website and have a whole community of people ready to help you day or night if you get stuck. And NO up front costs. I strongly recommend it.

    1. Hi, Stefanie!

I like your brief definition of a scam. “If they are offering the world for nothing, it’s a scam.” So true. Home Job Position is a particularly nasty scam that builds up a person’s hopes only to rob them blind.

I agree, Wealthy Affiliate is where I finally learned to build a successful online business and it’s the only place I recommend to learn internet marketing.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

    Thanks again

    1. Hi, Kevin!

  7. Hi Gary, I like the informations given from your website, I think most also do; it’s timely and useful. We know there’s tons of scams that already exist and eaten a lot of ‘prey’ again and again. Their numbers far more then the legitimate ones. Information like these should be incumbent upon us to disclose it. Without a self embedded moral values at least, the predator will not stop their bad activities of fulfilling their greediness accumulating easy money by cheating. Having said that :
    1. Is there any bodies local or international assigned to stop them?
    2. Could it be the one who provides a legitimate making money online websites also involved, cause it takes the same knowledge to do it; the difference is to applied that knowledge to good or bad.
    3. Can you share the most effective way to stop their activities.

    1. Hi, Joseph!

I’ve been investigating online scams for over two years and I’m convinced that 99% of the make money online and so-called work at home jobs are scams. Most are very expensive scams too that can cost thousands of dollars. Home Job Position is just one.

You asked about regulatory agencies that might stop these scams. In the United States, local, state and federal agencies work together to try and curb online scams. Scams should be reported to the Federal Bureau of Investigation Internet Crime Complaint Center (www.IC3.gov.

The FTC which investigates online scams and prosecutes scammer is faced with a daunting challenge as scams are popping up like weeds across the internet. Any scammer can build a website in minutes and vanish without a trace. Many scammers operate in other countries.

I feel the most effective way to stop scammers is to learn to identify them before it’s too late. As I mentioned earlier, 99% of the make money online offers are scams. This means you can safely assume any make money online offer is a scam. Make them prove to you they can be trusted. Legitimate make money online offers will give you a free trial. However, not every business that offers a free trial is legit. Many of them are also scams.

When considering a make money online offer, ask yourself what is the worse that could happen if you accept the offer? How much would you lose if the offer turns out to be a scam? Can you live with that?

Another thing, it does not cost very much money to build a profitable online business. In the totally FREE Online Entrepreneur Certification Course, we show how to get everything you need to build a profitable online business for about $50 a month. That is everything; training, support, websites hosting etc. There is no reason on God’s green earth to spend a nickel more.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  9. There are tons of claims across the internet trying to “trick” people into working at home and they end up either being scams or really bad deals for the people who embark on them. Besides the Home Job Position that you mentioned here not being a great deal, is there an alternative that you would recommend that is more solid?

  10. This is a honest review for home job position

There are many websites who wants to promote the product or program whether it is a scam or not.

But you have explain the truth very well.

You had told that there is no limit of blog. But Can you please tell me if I enroll what benefits should I get?

    1. Hi, Sameer Khan!

Thank you for your kind words. Home Job Position is indeed a scam of the highest magnitude. You asked about the benefits of enrolling in the FREE Online Entrepreneur Certification Course

The Online Entrepreneur Certification Course is an introduction to affiliate marketing. You will learn the fundamentals of internet marketing and how to build an authority website or blog. It also introduces you to our online community of marketers, webmasters and writers.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  11. Hi Gary

This is very useful to know and grateful you are exposing these get-rich scammers. How on earth can they get away with doing this? Probably using bogus lawyers too.

It’s easy to fall for these tricksters especially those of the ‘opportunity seekers’ you mentioned. I guess they have the wool pulled over their eyes. Thanks for sharing this post and keep up the good work.

  12. Always good to get the word out on bogus sites trying to sell fake dreams to people. Anyone looking to make money online should realize there is no easy way to make money and even the research into how to do it should be extensive. Time And patience will be rewarded.

    1. Hi, Jeremy!

I agree. I think the reason so many people get sucked into scams like Home Job Position is because they are looking for a quick and easy way to make lots of money. They fail to realize the internet is not an ATM. It is nothing more than a means of communication. However, unlike anything the world has ever seen, a nobody in the middle of nowhere now has access to the world, thanks to the internet.

Can you make money with the internet? Yes indeed. Can you make a fortune? Absolutely. Can you do it over night? No.

I like to think of the internet as a musical instrument. It takes time to develop the skills to play it well, but the better you can play, the more you will be rewarded. Unfortunately, most people spend their time and money trapped in one scam after another. This is why my friends and I created the FREE Online Entrepreneur Certification Course. This free course is the place to start learning how to make money online the right way.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  13. Hello Gary,

Thanks for the very detailed review on Home Job Positions. There are so many scams out there with false claims and promises. I’m glad there are people like you exposing them.

I am new to making money online and I’m sure most people who started looking will come across websites like Home Job Positions, but with different names.

I am very interested in your free course and will definitely check it out!

    Thanks,
    Eric

  14. Hi Gary,

Thanks for putting this into perspective. I agree with you when you say that exists two kinds of people who are searching to make money online, The opportunity seekers, and the entrepreneurs. Unfortunately, scam products like Home Job Position will always have “customers” because most of the people DON’T understand what it takes to make money online. What would be your personal recommendation to that matter? How can I find a legit way to LEARN how to make money online?

    Thanks a lot!

  15. Hi Gary, thanks for sharing about Home Job Position. I hadn’t heard of it before, but I probably would at some point so I appreciate the work you put in to research the owning companies, the things they’ve been involved with, and how the Home Job Position scam works. Besides do-it-yourself entrepreneur programs like WA, have you come across any sites that really do offer employee-like positions to people who want to work from home? Being an entrepreneur is not for everyone, so just wondering if you’ve run into any good part time/from home job websites that you would recommend.

  16. Gary,

I absolutely loathe having to give my phone number and credit card to anyone online, especially a company that I know nothing about. It should be a word to the wise for anyone to do such a foolish thing. Yet, sadly people desperate to earn money online readily give their personal info to a company failing to first perform research. Then, too late, they get understand why they got burned.

Everything about this company simply screams scam from their worthless e-book, the job itself and also the fact that they try and twist people’s arms through upsells. Even their guarantee is bogus as well.

The title name for this company, Home Job Position is an outright lie. Any person attempting to find actual work through this phony opportunity would be disappointed as he/she will end up only losing the $97 that they carelessly gave to this scam company.

    Jeff

    1. Hi, Jeff!

Home Job Position is just another website for the same old scam. You are wise for not giving your phone number and credit card info to a company you know nothing about. I think some people want to believe the lies Home Job Position tells and falls for the scheme. As I mentioned in the article, that can be a very expensive mistake.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  17. I heard a lot of Internet scams, but this is the first time I heard of a scam certified by FTC. There are many Internet programs starting with a low membership registration fee but following with a lot of upsells. Most of them could not help you to make any money.

Many people are eager to learn how to make money online and that is the reason why scammers can take advantage of them easily. It is great that you introduce the decent programs which provide training and course to make money online. I already enrolled and looking forward to learning more.

    1. Hi, George!

Home Job Position is NOT certified by the FTC. They were investigated by the FTC and had to leave the state of Utah. Unfortunately, they are still online taking advantage of people.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  18. I hate it when sites like that prey on desperate people. I just don’t know how they can sleep at night. Now the FTC has caught up with them does it mean they have been caught out with all their various business names? This is a very expensive scam and I hope there weren’t too many people losing their money to it.

    1. Hi, Margaret!

The organization behind Home Job Position is still playing cat and mouse with the FTC. The scammers can change websites in minutes while the FTC must work through a very slow and unmotivated bureaucracy that requires months of proceedings. It’s doubtful the organization behind Home Job Position will ever be shut down.

      Thanks for stopping by,

  19. Thank you for a very informational posting about a scam called home job position. I once was a member of Melaleuca, which is a Multi-Level Marketing company. It has good natural products, but the only way to really make good money on it is to have a large down-stream that you get commissions from their purchases. And I had to call people to try to convince them to buy products and be part of the membership that will call people, etc.

I’ve now been a premium member of Wealthy Affiliate for a week and a half. I’m going through all the training and following the step-by-step instructions. I never thought I would be able to make a website. Well, it’s really Wealthy Affiliate doing all the technical stuff. I just need to write blogs and learn more about getting traffic to come to my website.

I’m really glad that you are exposing the scams because it is hard to know what is for real on the Internet. And thanks for your service. I was in the Air Force Reserves.

    1. Hi, Debra!

I appreciate your comment and thank you for your military service. Years ago I considered joining Melaleuca because I liked their products, but as you mentioned, it’s a lot of work to succeed with MLM and if you don’t have influence over a lot of people, it can be nearly impossible. Ultimately with MLM you are building a company for someone else because no matter how successful you are, the management of the company can change the rules or the entire operation can go bust.

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate! Once you get into the training, you’ll find that you can easily leverage the power of the internet to your advantage. It’s a lot better than chasing after friends and family trying to sell them MLM products.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  20. There are so many scams out there that prey on innocent people. It is a real shame and I wish it were not the case but it is so. On the bright side we have people such as yourself who are highlighting these devious scams and showing people what their true colours are. Hopefully this will help save some money for someone.

  21. Hi Gary,
Appreciate the review on the Home Job Position. Doesn’t take long though your review to understand it a bad offer. Skates really close to what most people would call a scam. Quite honestly it’s hard for me to understand how this type of “deal” is put out there and even harder to understand why anyone would sign up for it.
In the world of work at home type opportunities what have you found to be the top 2-3? I’ve love to hear your thoughts on it – I know you know this stuff very very well.
    Thanks!

    1. Hi, Big Guns Mat A!

Thanks for your kind words. Home Job Position is a real stinker. You asked about the top 2 or 3 work at home opportunities.

The internet is the greatest opportunity of all time. Thanks to the internet, now anyone with the desire and enough sense to surf the net, can work from home. The problem is there are so many scams destroying people’s hopes and confidence.

My friends and I created a free introductory course so people can learn what it really takes to make money online. In this basic course you will learn the fundamentals of internet marketing and how to build an online business on a shoestring. Go here to learn more about the basic course.

  22. I have a friend that bought a 97$ program one time. I don’t remember what he said he got. Something in the mail, like a box of envelopes or something.

He never made any money. The worse part is he gets random phone calls through out the day. They are usually voice recorded.

They call from 8am to 10pm, offering their victims a chance to become rich. Every time he blocks 2 numbers.. 3 more numbers spring up in their place and sometimes they even call him in the same day,, claiming the same thing “work at home, for 5k a day.”

It should be against the law man, Iv heard these bastards still continue to harass ppl even if they are on a no call list

What is the point of being on a no-call list..if their still gonna call you? Lets get a new BIll going,, NO MORE PHONE SCAMS

    1. Hi, FlowStash!

Wow, that’s awful, but I’m not surprised. These scammers can be relentless.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  23. I have seen so many sites that look identical to Home Job Position that I literally lost count!

I think the biggest lies with these sites are “there aren’t many spots left” and “generate up to $379 daily!”

It is good to know the truth about sites like these and that there really is no way of becoming rich online that easily.

And thanks to this article, I will definitely be sure to stay away from it!

    1. Hi, Arie!

You are right. There are dozens of sites that are clones of Home Job Position. I should put them all in a gallery so people can see how fake they are. I’ll call it the rouge’s gallery.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  24. An eBook for $97?

I’m curious What is it about? Does it have anything to do with having a job?

It’s disgusting how individuals or companies like this exist for the sole purpose of scamming innocent people who are simply looking for ways to improve the quality of their lives.

But it’s great there are folks like yourself that look into scams like this and warn people as best you can.

    Keep up the good work.

    1. Hi, Marco!

The eBook is worthless and does not have anything to do with a job. The eBook teaches link posting. Essentially, it will show you how to sign up to be an affiliate for a company, how to get your affiliate link and then how to post your affiliate link on free ad sites.

Free ads don’t work. That’s why they’re free. No one reads free ads except the people who post free ads, and they don’t want to buy your stuff. They want you to buy their stuff! You would have to post thousands of links on the free ad websites to make a single sale. Plus, most affiliate programs do not permit you to post links on free ad sites.

If someone is interested in learning to make money online legitimately and are ready to do the work, I recommend the FREE Online Entrepreneur Certification Course.

      Thanks for stopping by,

  25. So Gary, Home Job Position isn’t actually a place where you can click some stuff and try to make some money which is then paid with more scammed money, like so many other places and pyramid schemes?

It is actually just trying to sell a PDF? That is amazing. Amazing that they first of all get someone to spend 97USD on a copy paste PDF and then have your creditcard details and phone number to offer even more crap. Sorry for my bad English there.

My goodness it never stops to amaze me these scammers. I went into some of these pyramid scheme traps and that also hurt my wallet, but paying a lot for non-info is really amazing.

Luckily there are still some good programs out there and I am glad to be part of a good one.

    Steven

    1. Hi, Steven!

Right, Home Job Position is just an eBook, but unfortunately that is only the beginning of the scam. Most scams have layers of small scams leading to greater scams. That’s the case here.

Selling the $97 eBook is merely setting the hook for the greater scams that follow. All the hype on the Home Job Position website is really selling the dream of quickly and easily making lots of money. If you believe the hype, you are psychologically conditioned to accept the lies that lead to the greater scams. Ultimately, the Home Job Position scam can cost $12,000.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  26. Hi Gary, first, I want to thank you for exposing these online scammers and its frustrating to see them still existing. The FTC’s press release of their investigation was very interesting to read and I’m glad you shared the information here. After reading your valuable review, there is no way I would want to pay even a penny for their eBook.

  27. Hi Gary, I like the way you are exposing these scammers. They trick people into giving them their money with promises they do not intend to keep. I hope more people will make their research about businesses before going for it. The internet is full of a lot of things that we need to stay away from. Thanks for the review.

  28. Thanks for the review, Gary. It’s almost unreal how many scams are out there that are based upon ridiculous up-selling, nothing of value and obscene lies. I’m not sure how people/businesses like the one above can sleep at night.

I appreciate that you offer a free solution for those of us looking for something of substance and worth of our time! Look forward to hearing more from you.

    1. Hi, Steph!

I have often thought the same thing about scammers and wondered how they live with themselves after ruining lives. “The Con Artist Handbook” by Joel Levy, describes a con artist, aka scammer, like this:

“Being a con artist isn’t for everyone. It’s a special kind of person who can convince someone to place their trust in a perfect stranger and give them something for nothing. It is an even more unusual person who can take money from the old, the needy and the foolish without a twinge of conscience or a moment’s hesitation. To psychiatrists, this kind of person is known as a sociopath.”

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  29. Hey Garry
Another great expose of scammers and rip-offs This Home job Position scam is as always an old ruse, I hope that anyone thinking of getting into this crap reads your report, or comes here often to check on new scams, as always buyer beware
    Good Job Garry
    All the Best
