Is Desert Millionaire a Scam?

The Desert Millionaire promises you can earn over $70,000 a month trading Forex and binary options with their special software. The truth is, at best forex and binary options trading is a high-risk game of speculation. It’s not investing. In fact, in most places, it isn’t regulated.

Because Forex and binary options trading is often unregulated, self-proclaimed brokers like the Desert Millionaire falsely promise outrageous investment returns. They’re not regulated. They can say anything they want.

Hype and misinformation attract “opportunity seekers” who are hoping to make fast, easy money with the Desert Millionaire software.

And, the Desert Millionaire video tells a good story. If you watch it, you’ll see many people claiming they made hundreds of thousands of dollars in a few months. In fact, the video and website claim that their unique system will allow you to earn about $70,000 each month. At that rate, it won’t take long to earn a million dollars.

Unfortunately, a deeper analysis of the Desert Millionaire system reveals several red flags. For starters, it is not possible to choose a regulated or licensed broker. This is precisely how most binary options and Forex trading scams work. Trading with an unregulated broker is just throwing your money away.

In other words, with the Desert Millionaire, you are forced to use an unregistered broker. An unregistered broker is not obligated to adhere to the law or a code of ethics. They are not regulated. They can do whatever they wish to do. My guess is the Desert Millionaire broker wants to take your money and never give it back.

The United States Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) warns that unregistered brokers are suspected of stealing the identity of their clients, taking their client’s money and locking their clients out of accounts.

What is the Desert Millionaire?

When you first visit the Desert Millionaire website and watch the video, you might think that the software sounds like a great way to earn some serious cash. Of course, earning $70,000 a month without really doing anything sounds too good to be true. You know what they say about if it sounds too good to be true.

Read the Disclaimer!

ScamAvenger Girl giving thumbs downUnfortunately, it is too good to be true. Read the disclaimer. You’ll find it at the bottom of the website. The disclaimer explains the risks you will be taking and why investing any money with the Desert Millionaire software is a very bad idea. The disclaimer clearly states that this type of investment is a high risk and that you could lose all the money you invest. If they are warning you that you can lose all of your money, expect to lose all of your money!

Another important point is that the software is not regulated by the US or any other government, and the disclaimer clearly states that this type of unregulated trading is prohibited by law. This means it is incredibly risky, AND illegal.

How the Desert Millionaire Scam Works.

Like many other investment scams, this one uses a video to grab your attention. The people in the video seem quite convincing until you realize they are actors paid to read a script. In fact, you can find many of the people in the video offering this type of paid testimonial service on sites like Fiverr.

One of the hooks that they use to draw people in is that the software itself is technically free. However, after downloading the software and creating your account, you will then need to put down a minimum deposit of $250 to start trading. The problem is that after you deposit your money you won’t get it back and you surely won’t get back anything you supposedly earned.

Nonetheless, the software still gets to work immediately as soon as you make your initial deposit. Soon after, you will start to see your account balance as the auto-trading software sets about supposedly turning your $250 into more than $10,000 in the first day. This is the small scam. It gets worse if you keep trying to make money with the Desert Millionaire software.

If you believe you made money, you will be encouraged to put more of your real money into your trading account. They will probably tell you if you put more money into your account, you’ll make more money faster. They are known to pressure people to put $10,000 into their account. This is the big scam.

Every dollar you put into your Desert Millionaire trading account is gone forever. They will keep scamming you until you realize what is really going on. Once you see Desert Millionaire for the scam it is, they will lock you out of your account and keep all your money. That’s the Desert Millionaire scam.

  2. Very interesting to see how you can be scammed of your hard earned money by Desert Millionaire, anyway even the name sounds like a scam.

What are the things to look for when dealing with Apps like Deseart Miilionaire? Do you cash out the first money you make or you are asked to invest? So they can trick you into putting more money there?

I have wanted to really understand what binary options are, I would love if you supplied me with more information? regarding this. Thanks

  3. I think the main problem with all these “make money overnight” schemes is that are targeted to desperate people. They are seeking for money to pay for a loan, debts, college, etc., so this way individuals are very vulnerable to spent as much as they can, to get a lot of in return fast but that never happens.

  4. It sounds like a few people may make over $70,000 per month but that just doesn’t seem likely for the majority of people.

It’s great to be kept in the loop on so many scams on the market. Was it easy to find reviews or information that indicated this was a scam or not a good opportunity?

I would like to find ways to check out opportunities. The problem is that there are so many scams that I’m likely to crawl into a hole in the ground and hide whatever money I have since there seem to be so many scams out there.

I appreciate you point me to a better option. It sounds like it could be the real deal, especially since I would have to work for my success.

    1. Hi, Rick!

Yes, unfortunately, the internet is awash in scams with more coming online every day. Based on 9 years of internet marketing experience and 3 years of investigating scams, I’m convinced that 99% of the make money online offers are either scams or worthless. This means if you think it’s a scam, it probably is. When money is on the line, it’s always advisable to err on the side of caution.

A dead giveaway that an offer is a scam is when they promise that you will make lots of money quickly and easily, but want you to pay them a chunk of money upfront. The few legitimate make money online programs I’ve found either offer you a free trial, no credit needed, OR have a rock solid guarantee that is enforced by a third party. If you want your money back, you’ll get your money back, no questions asked.

None of the legitimate programs I know of ask for a lot of money upfront. The most expensive one is under $20 for a lifetime membership!

For people who want to learn how to really make money online, I recommend they start with the Online Entrepreneur Certification Course. It’s free to enroll and the first ten lessons are free. To learn more, Click Here.

  5. It seems strange that desert millionaire is out there to take peoples money and yet their disclaimer warns the investor not to do business with themselves and that they will lose money. Why would a scammer tell people that they should not do business with them if they are after those same peoples money?

    1. Hi, Jessie!

Yes, it is strange that Desert Millionaire would warn people not to do business with them. From a legal perspective, it makes more sense. It’s basic CYA, cover your assets.

They want your money and they intent to get your money, but if you complain, Desert Millionaire can point to the disclaimer and say they tried to warn you. It a crazy business which I’m sure makes perfect sense to a sociopath. And, that what you’re dealing with when you’re dealing with a scammer, a sociopath.

  6. This article is very fascinating. It’s crazy that this type of thing is legal. This product doesn’t sound like just a risky investment, it a complete fraud that doesn’t give you any chance of making a profit.

It’s sad that programs like this exist, and that someone is obviously getting super rich from this scam. Amazing how those people can sleep at night. Thank God for people like you who are out here spreading the truth about these scams! Thank you so much for sharing this article!

    1. Hi, Ashley!

I have often wondered how the people behind scams like Desert Millionaire can sleep at night too. My guess is they sleep fine because they are sociopaths and incapable of empathizing with others.

In the book “The Con Artist Handbook,” the author, Joel Levy, describes the con artist as a sociopath lacking many psychological characteristics most of us take for granted. We can use the terms con artist and scammer interchangeably. They are the same character.

Typically scammers blame their victims. The believe their victim deserved to be scammed.

  7. Thanks for the thorough review. What I’ve read from other sources online that the Desert Millionaire software may be a re-marketed and re-packaged old binary system software tool from 2017. However, I can’t verify that claim but other sources have mentioned this. Can you recommend a decent binary options software on the market today? Also, a platform that welcomes crypto-binary options trading? Plus, I’d like to know your views about licensed brokers using bots on their trade platforms.
Do you recommend any automated trade software? If so, which ones? Robo-advisors are becoming very trendy, so, I’m always curious to know which up-and- coming platforms provide the best services with legit brokers. Your suggestions are welcomed.

    1. Hi, P. Sheldon!

The Desert Millionaire software may well be a remarketed version of an older software. It doesn’t matter if it’s old or new. The software does NOT do what they claim it does. It does NOT make trades for you.

The software of all auto-trading scams is nothing special. A freshman programmer could write the code for it in half an hour. The software is not magic. It is essentially an empty box and a digital readout that creates the illusion of making money.

The Desert Millionaire software does not make trades on autopilot. It does not make trades at all. It only creates the illusion of placing trades and making money. It’s not real.

99% of all binary option and forex brokers are unregistered. This means they do not prescribe to any security laws or code of ethics. They do what they want to do and what they want to do is take your money and keep it.

The United States SEC warns that unregistered brokers are known to steal the identity of their clients, to manipulate software to force losing trades and to lock clients out of their account.

Calling these scammers unregistered brokers is like calling a car jacker and unauthorized driver.

Trading binary options is NOT investing. Binary options have no place in an investment portfolio. At best, trading binary options with a legitimate and licensed broker is speculation. Do not speculate with money you cannot afford to lose, because the odds are you will lose it, even if you trade with a licensed broker.

If you trade with an unregistered broker, you WILL lose your money. Every time.

Don’t be fooled by brokers who say they are registered but who are NOT registered with the SEC. The SEC is the only securities regulatory agency to trust.

The only binary options exchange registered with the SEC is NADEX. If you must trade binary options, NADEX is the only place to trade them.

  8. Very impressive review of one of the notorious scam system on out there.

I had quite the experience but not with Desert millionaire. But with some trading scam similar to that and thank God I realized on time.

I was lucky to get my initial deposit back after promising them the wrath of zibbah via my bank.

Luckily again I had not traded any of my money or initiated one despite all the pressure from them to do so.

Your article is an eye-opener. I can totally relate because it happened to me. And I got out with my money.

    1. Hi, Richard!

You are very lucky to have gotten your money back. Most people don’t.

Scams like Desert Millionaire are very slick. Once they get you signed up, the professional telemarketers go to work on you. The telemarketers are highly motivated to get your money. The more they can squeeze out of you, the more they make.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary
