Is Project Breakthrough a Scam?

Project Breakthrough is a 14-day video series that claims to teach you how to make money on the internet in 14 days, but it is nothing more than a sophisticated sales pitch.

Each video is professionally scripted to gain your trust and trigger your greed.

Once your greed is evoked, you are compromised and cannot make a rational decision. It’s how we humans are wired. The creators of Project Breakthrough know this.

If you come to that point where you feel compelled to buy what Project Breakthrough is selling, I hope you have the presence of mind to turn off the computer and step away, otherwise, you will regret it.

What Is Project Breakthrough?

Slick SalesmanWhat Project Breakthrough claims to be and what it truly is are two different things. Keep in mind, the goal of Vick Strizheus (aka Vitaliy Strizheus) and Jason Mcclain is to max out your credit card.

They will do this by talking you into enrolling in High Traffic Academy, which costs $297 a month, plus buying over $3000 of additional product, training and services you do not need.

In other words, Project Breakthrough is just a slick way to take your money.

It starts with the introduction video which attempts to establish rapport, so you trust Strizheus and Mcclain. Once you trust them, they proceed to hammer at your greed button in video after video for 14 days as they try to sell you one damn thing after another.

Giving Strizheus and Mcclain all your money won’t make you successful. It will just make you broke.

Project Breakthrough Review.

Project Breakthrough claims that you can make money in as early as 14 days. While in theory, this might be possible. It is highly unlikely.

The only way anyone can go from zero to profits in 14 days online is to buy massive amounts of paid traffic. This strategy is very expensive and insanely risky. I wouldn’t try it unless I could absorb a $5000 loss without losing sleep.

The secret to making money online is there is no secret. You don’t need to pay anyone thousands of dollars, and you sure don’t need these two clowns.

Millions of people make money online every day with businesses that cost them very little to build. The truth is, it doesn’t take a lot of money to build an online business. It just takes a few skills and effort. That’s the beauty of the internet.

Vick Strizheus Con Artist.

At this point, it will be enlightening to take a closer look at “Vick” Vitaliy Strizheus and his partner in crime, Jason Mcclain.

Once you understand what kind of men these guys are, you’d be crazy to trust them.

Vick Strizheus Goes to Jail.

“Vick” Vitaliy Strizheus is a con artist. If after reading this you still have doubts, please do some online research. It isn’t pretty.

Thumbs Down II 300X257Less is known about Jason Mcclain, but because of his association with Strizheus, I can’t imagine he’s a Boy Scout. Birds of feather flock together.

Vick Strizheus’ birth name is Vitaliy Strizheus. He was convicted of grand theft in 2007. Here’s an excerpt from an article telling about it.

Twenty-five-year-old Vitaliy Strizheus is originally from Ukraine . . . In 2007, Strizheus got caught filing life insurance applications for people who didn’t exist, which netted him more than $30,000 in commissions he didn’t earn. . .  A judge sentenced him to 90 days in jail for grand theft…prosecutors call him a “con man.” (Read full article here: )

Strizheus and The Empower Network Scam.

Strizheus was a partner with The Empower Network until he got banned. The Empower Network is a Ponzi scheme, otherwise known as a pyramid scheme.

When an outfit like The Empower Network doesn’t want you, it’s a bad sign indeed.

And Now a Word About Sociopaths.

I’m not a shrink, but I was married to a sociopath for ten years. I know one when I see one.

If you watch the Project Breakthrough videos, you will see two very charming young men and a parade of professional actors. Forget the actors; they are doing what they’re paid to do.

Watch Strizheus and Mcclain. You would think they are the most genuine men in the world and eager to help you become an online millionaire.

That is precisely what they want you to believe.

Sociopaths have no conscience and no empathy. You are not a person to them. You are simply a mark to rip-off. And here’s the scary thing, sociopaths are charismatic. This is how they charm their victims like a cobra mesmerizing its prey.

The purpose of Project Breakthrough is to charm you out of your money and nothing more.

Sociopaths believe the money in your pocket, in your checking account, in your bank account and the money you can charge to your credit card is all THEIR MONEY!

They just have to finesse it out of you. And they will if you let them because that is their genius.

How to Start Your Own Online Business for FREE!

The Last Word.

There is nothing in Project Breakthrough except smoke and mirrors designed to sell you a lot of expensive stuff you don’t need. Ask yourself, if you trust Strizheus and Mcclain enough to give them your credit card number?

If you want to make money online, you don’t need to spend a lot of money to do it. You just need to learn a few skills and then consistently apply them.

  1. Excellent post, Gary!! I wished I found it before got scammed by Vick and his new venture called 4% Group. I don’t know if you are aware about 4%, but I warn all your readers to stay away from it.. I already wasted over $10K with 4% Group without any results…

    1. Hi, Serge!

I’m sorry you were scammed by Vick and his 4% Group. I am aware of the 4% Group, but haven’t published on it yet. Anything Vick is part of is a scam. I have an article about him here.

Making money online does not have to cost a lot. In fact, it shouldn’t cost much at all. It takes a lot of work, not a lot of money to build a profitable online business. Our free course, the Online Entrepreneur Certification Course teaches the fundamentals. That’s a great place to start and it won’t cost a nickel.

      Thanks for stopping by,
      Gary

  2. I am very happy to have found your article when I was browsing the internet for experiences and opinions about their system. I see that you are recommending people who are interested in learning about online marketing to join Wealthy Affiliate instead. What do you think sets them aside from all the other similar programs out there?

  3. Hey Gary,

Before reading your post on Project Breakthrough I hadn’t heard of them, it is important to be enlightened about these so called online business opportunities that are scams and not legit. I will definitely do my research on any opportunity before going ahead and investing my hard earned money. Buyers beware!

Thank you for sharing this information, very much appreciated.

    To Your Success!

    Antilena

    1. Hi, Antilena!

I’m glad your found my article about Project Breakthrough before you got involved with them. As a rule of thumb, if someone is trying to make you feel greedy for what they are selling, it is either a full blown scam or overpriced. Either way, you don’t want to get involved.

Most make money products and programs on the internet are not worth your time and are certainly not worth your money.

The process of making money online is actually very simple, but it does take time and commitment. I wrote an article about the best place I found to learn how to build a profitable online business. You can read it here.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  4. Your website is very informative, very good on placing the earning and affiliate disclaimer, it is important to let people know before hand what they are getting themselves into. The website also contained vital information to scams, where people need to know who these companies, or individuals are. Very well created with vital contents.

    Thank you

  5. HI Gary,
Thanks for the recommendation. $297 a month for membership seems very steep. If you could learn to make big money in 14-days I’m sure more people would be doing this. I must agree with you about these sales videos triggers greed. People who usually sign up for these things are motivated by their inner greed. The guy’s selling to you know this. I typed in Vick Strizheus into Google and the first thing that came up was Vick Strizheus is an online marketing scam artist from the Ukraine. Thanks for the research!

    1. Hi, Celeste!

We all have the emotion of greed and, like you mentioned, these scammers know precisely how to trigger it. Not surprisingly, scammers are manipulative. It’s second nature to them. The more desperate and broke someone is, the more vulnerable they are to these scammers.

As you discovered, Vick Strizheus is the poster child of online scammers.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  6. I really like this review. It’s very informative. You must’ve really taken the time to investigate Project breakthrough that you pretty much have done the heavy lifting for us. Although this information is new to me (I haven’t heard of this Project Breakthrough until now), I can rest assure that there are articles like this that will warn us of such suspicious “companies”. Now I know what to really avoid. Thank you for this!

    Stay Awesome!

    1. Hi, Dredd De Jesus!

I appreciate your kind words. I’ve been scammed a few times and never want that to happen again to me or my readers.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  7. another scam eh? These scammers will never rest. Its unfortunate because it clearly shows that people all constantly falling for these scams.

Scummy guy scams people, goes to jail and is still having his little scamming operation open. Its disgusting. Thanks for exposing this guy, we need more people like you!

    1. Hi, Darren!

You’re right Vick should have been put out of business. I understand the judge showed him mercy because he has a wife and small children. I wish the judge could have foreseen all the families Vick has damaged or destroyed with his scams.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  8. Hi, Anh!

I know what you mean. Scams like Project Breakthrough can be so convincing. Who doesn’t want to believe they can make six figures in 90 days or some other amazing money making claim.

But the internet isn’t an ATM. The internet simply gives a person access to the world stage. Big money can be made, but not with scams like Project Breakthrough.

Making money online requires skill, patience and integrity. Anyone who can operate a computer can learn the skills here.

    Thanks for stopping by,

    Gary

  9. Hey Gary,

Thanks so much for this review on Project Breakthrough, I hate to run into scams. And even I have to admit that when I started looking for a way to make money online, there are times when I though some of the more sleazy scams out there actually works! That you can make big money online fast with some kind of super secret blueprint.

I’m sure this post and your blog overall will be a big help to a lot of folks like myself.

    Thanks again for sharing!

    Cheers,
    Anh

  10. Hi, Gary. I really love your review on project breakthrough. I am a surprised that EN can actually lock some people out because they are the biggest scam the internet has ever had. Striheus must be the anti-christ himself. It’s good that we do this reviews because it’s painful to watch people lose their hard earned money to such scams.

    1. Hi, Leonard!

I like your comment that Strizheus must be the anti-Christ. He’s plenty bad, that’s for sure and not someone to trust with your money.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  11. Thank you for warning me about Project Breakthrough. I wanted to join Project Breakthrough, but I thought it was too good to be true. They promise I will make money in 14 days and I will make over a $100,000 in 90 days. Wouldn’t that be wonderful, but I think it is not possible.

I’m so glad I read your article before I got scammed.

    Cheers

    Jose

    1. Hi, Jose!

Project Breakthrough is a real stinker. I’m so glad you read my article about it before you got involved. It would have been a very big and a very expensive mistake.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  12. Hey Gary,

Am greatful I got to read this in time. I was actually thinking of joining the program and just dish my money out for something that’s really not worth it.

I see you recommending wealthy affiliate and I’ve heard quite a good number of people recommend it saying that most sites that have been well ranked in Google are made there, is it true?

And how do they do this, get Google to love and trust their websites?

    1. Hi, Dave!

I’m so glad you found my article about Project Breakthrough before you got tangled up with those guys. It would have been a mistake.

I highly recommend Wealthy Affiliate. You can join for free and check it out yourself and not risk a dime. That’s a lot different than Project Breakthrough that demands big money up front.

The initial training at Wealthy Affiliate teaches how to build an authority website or blog that cooperates with the search engines so all the power and goodness of Google, Bing and Yahoo are working for you. There’s no gimmicks and no short cuts.

This strategy works, but it does take time for the search engines to trust your new website, so don’t expect to make money overnight. But, if you want to build a legitimate online business that you can be proud of and that can free you from the 9 to 5 grind, Wealthy Affiliate is your best bet.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  13. Excellent post. I looked at this and thought immediately of Empower Network. I like your style, and look forward to more reviews from you. You’re not a sociopath too, are you…?!
    Cheers.

    1. Hi, Ian!

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate that you took the time to comment. It’s interesting that you saw the connection between Empower Network and Project Breakthrough. They both would be expensive mistakes for anyone getting involved.

I’m hardly a sociopath, but isn’t that exactly what a sociopath would say?

      All the best,
      Gary
