Big Profit System.

Big Profit System claims to be an automated business in a box that will earn you multiple checks of $500 to $10,000 each week with only a few hours work. On the Big Profit System website, you’ll see people showing off lots of checks as proof the system works.

In fact, that is mostly what the Big Profit System website is about, showing off how much money you can make and constantly promising that it’s so easy anyone can do it.

Big Profit System promises you don’t have to speak to anyone. You don’t need a website, and you don’t need to sell anything.

According to Big Profit System, practically all you have to do to make these big commission checks is lead people to the “Success Coaches.” The “Success Coaches” do all the selling for you and send you the commission checks. What’s not to like?

A Big Profit System Review.

Big Profit SystemUnfortunately, the Devil is in the details, and here’s where it gets ugly. But first, let’s establish a known point for our comparison. As we get into the Big Profit System details, I’ll be throwing some big numbers at you.

To fully appreciate the insanity of these big numbers, it will be helpful to compare them to something real.

A known point is a kind of like the artificial horizon on an aircraft pilot’s instrument panel. The artificial horizon lets the pilot know where he is in relation to the ground. When visibility is impaired, this instrument can mean the difference between life and death.

Likewise, a realistic understanding of what it costs to make money online can serve as our “artificial horizon” when we compare the price of Big Profit System to a legitimate online marketing training program. When you’re blinded by the Big Profit System promise of making a lot of money on autopilot, a reality check can mean the difference between throwing away thousands of dollars on nothing and safely dodging the Big Profit System bullet.

Here’s our affiliate marketing point of reference. In the real world, outside of Big Profit System, it costs about $50 a month to get the training you need, all the tools you need and all the support you need to build a profitable online business capable of producing multiple income streams.

Remember $50. That is our point of reference, our artificial horizon, as we explore Big Profit System.

Is Big Profit System a Scam?

Big Profit System has five levels. Each level is more expensive than the level beneath it. Also, each level offers a digital product.

To join Big Profit System, you must buy a membership level. When you purchase a level, you are then authorized to sell that level.

The minimum level costs $1,280. However, Big Profit System has several built-in incentives to encourage you to buy at the highest level which costs $20,000, plus a $280 affiliate fee.

If you buy in at the $20,000 level, you will be given a website and authorized to sell all levels.

Once you buy into Big Profit System, your job will be to drive people to your Big Profit System website. This will start them through the same sales funnel you went through. Like you, a visitor will be encouraged to call a “Success Coach” and buy into Big Profit System just as you did.

Obviously, the “Success Coaches” are not coaches at all. They are professional telemarketers hell-bent on getting their commission.

If your recruit buys into Big Profit System, they, in turn, will get a website and will be authorized to promote Big Profit System. The only thing Big Profit System promotes is Big Profit System.

When someone joins through your website, you get half of the money as a commission, minus the $280 affiliate fee.

If someone joins at the first level, which costs $1000, plus the $280 affiliate fee, you get $500. If they join at the top level, which costs $20,000, plus a $280 affiliate fee, you get $10,000.

Remember our point of reference? In the real world, it only costs $50 a month to build a profitable online business generating multiple streams of income. It’s insane to spend a penny more and ludicrous to spend $20,000 for a business that looks more like a pyramid scheme than a business.

The Federal Trade Commission states pyramid schemes promise large profits based on recruiting others into their program, not on the sale of goods to the public. Some schemes may pretend to sell a product, but the product is grossly overpriced and used merely as a device to hide the illegal pyramid structure. (Source)

The Final Word on Big Profit System.

It would take a legal investigation and a court hearing to determine conclusively if Big Profit System is a pyramid scheme. However, based on the FTC’s definition, Big Profit System may indeed be one. (More on pyramid schemes)

Consider that it is impossible to determine who owns Big Profit System. Legitimate businesses work hard to establish brand recognition and to build relationships with their client base. Scams, on the other hand, hide their identity and burn through their market just as Big Profit System is doing.

What if you spent $20,280 to join Big Profit System and the next day the company vanished? It could happen.

  1. Actually, a friend of mine is in BPS and there are a couple of corrections I feel I need to make. Each level comes with a suite of digital internet marketing products that can be downloaded instantly. So there are real products to be purchased within BPS.

Second, no one EVER purchases at $20k. If someone is at a lower level and upgrades to the $1,200 level, they are AUTOMATICALLY bumped up to the $20k membership. If someone purchases the $6k software package, they are bumped up to the $12k software package. Likewise, if someone purchases the $3k software package, they are bumped up to the $6k software package.

If there were no software sales, there’s no way paypal could be used with BPS. Paypal has an itchy trigger finger and if anything remotely smells like a pyramid, they will freeze those accounts. BPS accepts payments through paypal and cashier’s checks for the people who do not have a paypal account.

    1. Hi, Adrianne!

Thanks for the clarification. However, these levels are still very expensive and, in my view, unreasonable when far less expensive training and support is available.

      Thanks for stopping by,
      Gary

  2. I always make it a point to come to ScamAvenger.com before considering yet another Get Rich Quick scheme, because leave it up to Gary to already have figured out that these offers are mostly scams. Thank you, Gary ! Reading that there are offers that actually make sense and that are legitimate, is refreshing and your link certainly presents a great opportunity for those looking to get into the Affiliate marketing business. Thank you !

    1. Hi, Rico!

Thank you for your kind words. After investigating scams for over two years, I’ve come to recognize their patterns, plus my copywriting background helps me spot how scammers use language to confuse and misdirect their victims. Pyramid schemes like Big Profit System can be devastating. Fortunately, Big Profit System is a crude scam and easy for many people to avoid. Most pyramid schemes are very slick and professional and will rob your blind before you catch on.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  3. Hi Gary
I like to read your articles. You are always doing a good job by exposing these scammers that are trying to take away our hard-earned money and this article is no exception.

The second you told me that the entry level to get into Big Profit System would set me back a grand, I said ‘no thank you.’ And as you so eloquently pointed out, should the company disappear, so would all that money.

I am better off with investing $50.

Looking forward to your next article
    Regards
    Roopesh

    1. Hi, Roopesh!

Thanks for your kind words. I wish more people would realize that it does not cost very much money to build a legitimate online business. As you mentioned, fifty bucks a month will get you everything you need. It’s insane that scammers make people believe they have to spend thousands of dollars to learn how to make money online.

It doesn’t cost much money, but it does require commitment, patience, and work. That’s where most people fail. My guess is that 90% of the people who try to build an online business don’t stick with it long enough to see results.

      Thanks for stopping by,

  4. Hey Thanks for this great article, Actually researching into this profit system and you’ve really broke it down into each section, Which I can understand and make some real informative decisions! And thank you for that!

The internet is a big place where some can really fall into some daunting traps and scams! Just shows how careful you really need to be and reading great articles like this!

    Thanks again!

  5. Hey, thanks for your post. I appreciate you takng the time and breaking it all down for us. This is great.

This is a great article. I have never heard of this before. I am glad that I read your article, so that I can do some more research and make some decisions.

Again, thanks for this article. Thanks for building this website and investing your time. It’s a great site.

  6. Wow! Big Profit System sounds like a very manipulative scam. I’ve seen a lot of these pyramid schemes around the internet, and I hate how predatory they can be. They often use flowery language and put forward a very convincing architecture and argument to lure the potential “affilates” into buying their program. Thanks for spreading the word about this scam. I agree with you that you can become a student of the internet and be successful with proper training and hard work.

    1. Hi, Ciara!

The internet has brought us a lot of good things. Unfortunately, it has also brought us a tsunami of pyramid schemes. Big Profit System is a rather low-rent garden variety.

As if losing money to a scam isn’t bad enough, people who have been scammed may think that they can never make money online. The truth is, anyone who can surf the internet and send an email can indeed make money online if they get the right training and commit to their success. This is why I encourage people to become a student of the internet.

Building a profitable online business should never cost more than about $50 a month. There is no reason to spend $5000 like Big Profit System costs. My friends and I created the FREE Online Entrepreneur Certification Course so people could see how money is really made online without risking a dime.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  7. Thank you Gary for this information. I really hope that people will do their research before jumping into any type of business they see. They hear about the next big thing and they go for it. Big Profit System cost a lot to join and there is nothing to sell except wait for the next guy to join and you reap off him. That is not a way to earn a living. Systems like this do not last, I just wish people will learn.

    1. Hi, Stella!

I agree. Businesses like Big Profit System are doomed. The scammers behind them know this and will grab as much money as they can before the program implodes. Unfortunately, like musical chairs there will be people left standing and suffering substantial losses.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  8. Oh my goodness! Thank you Gary for this website. People need to be aware of these scams so they will not fall victim. I almost fell into a system like this but knew better once the $ amounts started getting brought up. There are a lot of people out there that are really wanting to find a “get rich quick” avenue online. But the reality is they do not exist. You have to work if you want to get paid. Affiliates work and establish relationships with their readers and although it may take time, it is profitable. I am very glad you brought up the low cost of running a legitimate online business.

    1. Hi, Angela!

Thank you for you kind words. Unfortunately, the more desperate people become, the more vulnerable they will be to schemes like Big Profit System. I wish it was possible to make big money fast, but as you mentioned, in the real world you have to work for it. As you mentioned, relationship is key.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  9. Scams are one of the most common things on the internet and the scary thing is how legitimate they can look up-front, this site is doing a good job by finding these scams and exposing them for what they are so hopefully others don’t fall victim to these sort of shady cash grabs that will take your money and leave you with nothing and no way to fight back as they legally cover their ass.

  10. Hello Gary, thanks for the blog. Before i have joined Wealthy Affiliate, I have been the victim of this scam websites that promised me massive autopilot income without doing any work at all. I have blew away tons of money by putting my trust into these fraudulent sites. While in WA, i have something very important: in order to run a successful online business, it requires commitment and patience. Hard work and patience are the keys to success. As of now, i am taking the certification courses and i am almost done with the classes. Soon, I will turn this into an full time online business. I hope no one becomes the victim of Big Profit System or any one of these other pyramid schemes. Thanks again and continue to do what you do best!

    1. Hi, Ahmad!

I’ve been scammed more than I want to admit too. Big Profit System is typical of scams promising the moon and delivering only heartache. I’m glad you found WA. You’ll do well there.

It seems that for people determined build an online business getting scammed is part of the learning process. It’s painful. It’s humiliating. And it’s expensive. However, it seems to be a rite of passage for online entrepreneurs. You’re on track now.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  11. Gary thanks so much for this review! I have been researching different programs to earn an online income when I happened to come across the Big Profit System a few weeks ago. I got to admit, I was a little blown away by the income possibilities at first. Now I don’t like to think of myself as naive, but in hindsight, I believe that I was not looking at this system objectively. I think the “wish” factor took over – I WISH that I could find something that I can make money from that easily by doing absolutely no work! Anyone that promises you can make specific amounts of money with no website and no selling, no work at all, is lying to you and you need to run away just as quick as you can. I think it is safe to say that Big Profit Systems is a pyramid scheme.

    1. Hi, Erin!

I know what you mean. Scammers count on us suspending disbelief and projecting our own fantasies of easy money onto their scheme. I’m glad you were able to see past the Big Profit System illusion.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  12. Hi Gary,
Really enjoy your website and enjoyed your review of Big Profit System. To be honest it was kind of hard to follow how someone is supposed to make money and you even explained it in easy to understand terms and wording. I like your point of reference comparison to both WA and the point on the horizon.
It’s amazing in this day and age the types of systems people will put together to try to get others to join in their “can’t miss” money making schemes. Between the disinformation and the impossible to understand wording it’s like trying to follow a sheep in a snow storm.
Thanks again for the insightful advice,
    Mat A.

    1. Hi, Mat A.!

There seems to be no end to the scams. Big Profit System is typical for how it confuses the reader while promising they can make lots of money. I like you analogy of following a sheep in a snowstorm. So true.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  13. Hello, Gary. Congratulations for a well explained content about Big profit System. I don’t know that website, but as I was reading, it reminded me the pyramid scheme, just like any other websites or companies.

I entered a scam website once without knowing it. Luckily, I didn’t lose any money, but neither I gain money. But I gained experience, and I learned about scam and legit pages. Keep it up with the scam sites hunting.

  14. Hi Gary, thanks for visiting my site! Keep doing what you’re doing: exposing scams or crappy programs! At the same time sifting out the few good and legit programs.

  15. Love it. Devil in the details.

I can’t believe people can fall victim to these type of things that promise so much but deliver so little. I hope the majority of people looking for a business online stumble upon this post so they aren’t trapped by that website. I mean come on, they don’t disclose the owner or can’t verify who it is!!

    1. Hi, Kari!

It’s sad really, but I’m sure Big Profit System does snare a lot of people. There are dozens of videos on YouTube singing the praises of Big Profit System. Of course they are produced by people who hope to profit from it.

It may seem obvious to us that it’s a scam, or at least suspicious, but some people will become so emotionally enthralled with the sales pitch they will ignore the warning signs and give Big Profit System their money. Also, I’m convinced some people are addicted to scams and get a euphoric rush each time they believe a sales pitch promising fast, easy riches.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  16. Hi Gary, love the opening video! Big Profit System sounds like a scam to begin with! And without talking to anyone or selling anything or partically doing nothing, one can make money? Success coaches = telemarketers! You have save many readers time and money, Gary! Good job!

Why are people still falling for these scams or almost-scams? People want to believe they can make easy money. Poor suckers!

    1. Hi, Song!

I am constantly changing my perspective of people who get scammed. For some of us, something like Big Profit System is an obvious scam, but for others it’s a dream come true, at least in the beginning. Some people are addicted to scams. They get a high when they fall for the scammers promise and for a short time, they believe they will soon be rich. Their problems vanish during this delusional magic time.

I also think scammers rely on big numbers to get their conversions. Whereas a legitimate product offer might convert one out of a hundred. A scammer may only convert one out of thousand or ten thousand. Also, scammers, even the pathetic sloppy ones, know how to exploit weaknesses in our emotions.

I would hope that search engines would shut down scammers by de-indexing their websites. I’m disappointed this isn’t happening.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

      1. Gary, you made an interesting observation , ‘some people are addicted to scams’. That’s so true. Perhaps such ones are always hoping that the next sounds-like-scam-but-I’ll-try-it-anyway program will be their lucky break. Song

        1. Hi, Song!

I think they actually experience a euphoric high when they first fall for a scam. I saw this in my father as I was growing up long before the internet.

My father subscribed to “Opportunity Magazine.” It was chock full of so-called “opportunities.” Some of the opportunities were legit, but most were scams.

My father had grown up extremely poor and although he owned lots of rental property as an adult, he never escaped the feeling of being poor except for a brief time after he purchased a scam opportunity. Then he was happy for a few days until he realized the scheme would not work. He would be impossible to live with until he bought into another scam and the cycle continued.

          Thanks for stopping by,
          Gary

  17. Hi Gary, love the opening video! Owner unknown! That’s a red flag. No need to speak to anyone or sell anything and yet makes lots of money? They should keep the system to themselves! Himself? Herself? Oh, we don’t know the owner. You also raised other logical points that show Big Profit System is a scam. To be fair, I did google for other reviews on Big Profit System. ALL thumbs down! So why do these scams keep popping up? For me, I will always remember what Abraham Lincoln once said, “Do not believe everything you read on the internet”.

    1. Hi, Song Choon Kiat!

I appreciate your humor. That Lincoln guy was a smart cookie. I was moved to visit your website and got thoroughly distracted in all the good advice. I wish I had seen your article “How to Sell Ice to an Eskimo” thirty years ago. It would have saved me years of struggle.

      Thanks for stopping by,
      Gary
