What Is Online Profits Breakthrough?

Online Profits Breakthrough claims to be a miraculous system that lets you earn a very high income quickly. The top banner on the Online Profits Breakthrough website states you can earn between $1,250 and $5,500 just by watching the video. They also remind you to hurry and take advantage of their offer, because “only three spots remain in your area”.

The bogus claim that there are only three spots remaining is an attempt to create artificial urgency. Online Profits Breakthrough is trying to pressure you into making a hasty decision. They know if you took time to think about their offer you would pass on it.

What Is Online Profits Breakthrough? The Online Profits Breakthrough video opens by saying that you are one of a very limited number of people who will be granted access to a private system that generates upwards of $2,739 daily. They are trying to make you feel special. Who doesn’t want to feel special?

You’re reminded too that if you earned $2,739 a day, you would be earning $1 million a year. After this bold claim, you are treated to a string of testimonials of people claiming Online Profits Breakthrough really works.

Do you think a system that guarantees you can make a million bucks a year is too good to be true? What do you have to do to earn this kind of money with Online Profits Breakthrough?

Is Online Profits Breakthrough A Scam?

The video guarantees that you will start earning money and lists several possible amounts. Viewers are warned that they must watch to the end of the video or risk losing this amazing Online Profits Breakthrough opportunity.

You are reminded that you will easily earn a million dollars per year. But is Online Profits Breakthrough really your ticket to easy money, big houses, fast cars and luxury vacations?

All you have to do is sign up, the video urges, and the system will go to work for you. The video presents fantastic claims that you, too, can become a millionaire just like all of the people you’ve seen in the past few minutes. It offers all this for what it claims is a discounted price of $97.

If you allow yourself to believe the promises made in the Online Profits Breakthrough video, you’re probably very excited. You might already be planning how to spend all the money you will be making.

The truth is, it will cost you a lot more than $97 to fully deploy the strategy Online Profits Breakthrough promotes. Plus, unfortunately, most people don’t make anything near a million dollars a year with their methods.

Online Profits Breakthrough is a MOBE affiliate!

If you’re skeptical of the claims in the Online Profits Breakthrough video, you have good instincts. Small text on the blue background below the video states that the results shown in the video are not typical of most people who sign up for the program. Also available at the bottom of the page are an income disclosure and the terms & conditions. Both of those make it clear that the system being advertised is not its own unique program but rather an affiliate of My Online Business Education, LTD (“MOBE”).

There are 21 steps to complete the MOBE program, and as the disclaimer notes, a majority of people who join do not finish the steps. The reason for this low completion rate is that each step of the program requires you to spend more money, so you’re paying money for the chance to possibly make money.

How much are you likely to make? Not much.

The third paragraph of the disclaimer shows most people earn less than $250 per year. A teenager’s first newspaper route or pet-sitting business could easily earn more than that!

ScamAvenger Girl giving thumbs downThe $250 figure is an average of all affiliates registered with MOBE, so it is lowered by the presence of lazy or inactive members. Even discounting those, however, active MOBE consultants still average less than $700 per year. That’s a far cry from the million that the video got you so excited about.

How It Makes Money.

When you join Online Profits Breakthrough, you actually join MOBE. You make money with MOBE by selling MOBE products. The products are training packages that teach how to make money online. MOBE’s core products are the various levels in the 21 Step training program.

To get the greatest benefit from MOBE, you are expected to complete each of the 21 steps of the core training, plus pay for online advertising. Each step, or level, costs money. As you move up the 21 steps, each additional step is more expensive than the last.

Before you can sell a MOBE product and earn a commission, you must first purchase that product.

MOBE is not for everyone. It costs a lot to complete all of MOBE’s training and, according to MOBE’s disclaimer, very few people earn more than a few hundred dollars a year. To help you decide if MOBE is right for you, I wrote What Is MOBE About?

Some online reviews claim that MOBE is a pyramid scheme. It would take an in-depth investigation and a court hearing to determine if MOBE is truly a pyramid scheme, however, you may find the FTC’s statement on pyramid schemes helpful.

How Online Profits Breakthrough is Different.

There are a lot of websites promising you can quickly and easily make money with their system. However, every blessed one of them wants you to first give them your money.

Only after you give them your money will they tell you their secret. Usually, with these guys, you never make a dime. You just spend money and have nothing to show for it.

Online Profits Breakthrough and their mothership, MOBE, is different. They may cause you to go into debt trying to make their system work. It might take years to pay off the credits cards you ran up chasing the dream. Each month when you pay the bill, you’ll relive the humiliation. This is the sort of thing that destroys lives and relationships.

How to Really Make Money Online.

The truth is, it’s not expensive to learn how to make money online the right way. And, it’s not difficult either. It can be frustrating to be sure, but that is usually only because the information is new and perhaps intimidating.

Learning to make money online the right way is profoundly easier than forcing yourself to go to a dead-end job and dealing with a boss who thinks he owns you.

There are two ways to make money online legitimately. You can either get a work at home job or create an online business. A work at home job will get money flowing in quickly, but an online business will potentially earn much more.

    1. Hi, Lynn!

If you paid with a credit or debit card, contact your bank. Show them the Online Profits Breakthrough website and the promises they made that you would make money. Then show them the earning disclaimer from MOBE that says very few people actually make money with their program. Also, point out that it is a bait and switch scheme where you started with Online Profits Breakthrough but actually paid MOBE. You were deceived.

I’m sorry you lost money with these guys. They’ve gotten a lot of people.

  1. One of my first thoughts before I read all the way down the page is this sounds like a MLM or Pyramid scheme if you are required to buy the product and pay for every step in the training.

The next thing I thought was, how can anyone fall for this, but then I reminded myself of how many things I have fallen for over the years.

It’s great to see you list a legitimate option at the end that has ten courses for free. That’s a great thing to be able to experience the training and the community before you start dishing out any money.

    1. Hi, Rick!

I’ve learned not to judge people who falls for scams. Like you, I’ve fallen for my share. The author of “Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion,” Dr. Robert Cialdini, admits he gets taken by scams too and he’s been studying and writing about scams for decades.

There seems to be a process of maturation that takes place with would-be internet marketers. At first, they stumble into scams, lose money and maybe learn something. Eventually, they learn enough to recognize scams and to recognize a legitimate program when they see it. That’s when they really start to grow.

The danger is that a would-be affiliate gets mired down in an expensive program that devastates their finances. That’s the risk of falling for Online Profits Breakthrough. It’s so expensive that a would-be marketer could be so ruined financially that they can not afford to keep looking for a legitimate program, or worse, they are left broken and demoralized.

  2. Thank you for letting me know about Online Profits Breakthrough. I had not heard of them before. I must admit that I have used that old marketing trick of “only 3 spots left” before. Luckily for me there really were only 3 spots left, but when I see other people use it, I always assume that it is a warning sign. I can’t believe that some people believe that if they send the website owner $97 that they will get $1 Million dollars per year back. I have heard of MOBE before, but I have chosen to stay away from them. I was just wondering what your #1 choice would be?

    1. Hi, CBIG!

I agree. When an offer says there are a limited number of spots left, you have to wonder, especially if it’s a digital product. Online Profits Breakthrough is really just a landing page directing people to MOBE, and MOBE is very expensive.

The biggest issue I have with MOBE is how expensive it is. Most people who are searching for a way to make money online will not do the work necessary to succeed. It’s not difficult to build a successful online business but it does take work, commitment and patience. Most people don’t want to pay that price.

Instead of doing the work, most people want to throw money at the effort and quit within a month or two. Instead of teaching people what it really takes to succeed online and encouraging them to persevere, MOBE exploits their desire to make money quickly and easily. Knowing newbies will soon quit, MOBE gets as much money as possible from them in the beginning and keeps fleecing them until they drop out.

For people who want to know how to really make money online, I recommend the Online Entrepreneur Certification which is taught inside the Wealthy Affiliate community. The first ten lessons are free, so a beginner can try it out without risk.

  3. Gary, As you pointed out in your review I could easily tell right from the outset that Online Profits Breakthrough is the very epitome of a scam. #1, this company promises that a person could earn money soon after joining.

Second, they make the ridiculous, no moronic, statement that through just watching the introductory video, (to its completion) a person would earn as much as $5,500 in the blink of an eye. If only life were that easy, and I also truly hope that not many people are naive enough to believe the bogus statement issued by that company.

Furthermore in an attempt to make joining the company as something that could not be passed up, there is the lie that only “3 spots remain”; trying to sell the false ideal that with a person not pursuing this opportunity immediately, he/she would lose out. A trick, at least a couple decades’ old and only pulled by scam business opportunities that is nothing but an attempt to get people to join immediately. It also would be a decision that those individuals would soon regret!

The final part of this scam would be as you stated the fact that Online Profits Breakthrough is affiliated with another fraud program “MOBE” which you previously reviewed and found out to be nothing but a sham. Two very sour- tasting opportunities almost combined as one. Only a truly desperate and completely clueless individual would waste even a penny’s investment into either one.

    1. Hi, Jeff!

Online Profits Breakthrough is a real stinker and MOBE has a horrible online reputation. Unfortunately, MOBE has made a fortune with their scheme and are insanely aggressive in attacking anyone who speaks the truth about them. In the past three years, I’ve seen several companies with business models similar to MOBE go bust. We can hope that one day MOBE will meet the same fate.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  4. Thank you for blowing the whistle on these guys. (and maybe gals) It is companies like that that make it difficult for legitimate online businesses to build trust. Unfortunately there are so many of them! As with most everything in life – if it sounds too good to be true— it is!

I recently received a $3000 check (legit check) from a company asking me to be a mystery shopper. I was to keep $400 and then buy gift cards with the rest. Once I purchase the gift cards; I was to scratch off the silver covering on the back and send them a photo of the numbers.

DUH… now why would someone send me $3000 and hope I don’t just pocket the money? Low risk I guess as what really happens is their check bounces; but by the time my bank would have discovered it; I would have purchased $2600 of gift cards – sending them the codes so they could claim as lost and get the money.

Fortunately I did not fall for this; but I imagine they capture a few unquestioning folks.

Anyway… appreciate the work you do as a ScamAvenger…. Go get ’em!

    1. Yikes Leissa G.!

I’m so glad you saw through that scam. It probably snags a lot of people who believe they just got $3000 for nothing.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your experience.

      Gary

  5. There are so many companies out there selling a “perfect system” now it’s not even funny.

There are grains of usefulness and truth in most of them, perhaps, but none of them are worth the cost, nor are they likely to pay off in of themselves.

It’s devastating to pour money and time into an effort that you have high hopes for, to only have it crash and burn.

I’m hoping that my ventures in affiliate marketing eventually pay off. It seems like a good path, but it’s definitely taking some perseverance.

    1. Hi, Jordan!

The cost of Online Profits Breakthrough far outweigh the benefits. I agree, perseverance is essential in any worthwhile endeavor. The rewards of affiliate marketing can be substantial. However, it’s easy to expect too much too soon. All the online hype about making big bucks overnight doesn’t help either.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people sacrifice to get a college degree, which can take several years and cost a lot of money. During the four or five years it might take to get a BA or BS degree, they are paying out large sums of money and not earning a dime from their education. In the end, most of the college graduates will end up with jobs that don’t require a degree. Plus, they are lucky if they don’t have a massive student loan to pay off.

Compare affiliate marketing to college, you can earn more money with less effort and earn it faster. By faster, I mean in a few years, not overnight.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  6. It’s strange that they promise you untold riches then end up stating that most people struggle to get to $250 a year – that’s fine print I take it?
A shame really as I was looking into this bunch over the last week or so. What would you suggest instead? Something free would be a bonus as I need to go through a learning curve for working online (no experience!)

  7. Before I found Wealthy Affiliate one of the sites I was looking into. I wasn’t liking what I saw as I checked it out. Now that I read your post with even more information I am really glad I decided not to go through with it. Thank you for the great advice.

    1. Hi, Melissa!

I’m glad you dodged the scam bullet and found Wealthy Affiliate. Wealthy Affiliate is the only place I recommend for people who want to make money online the right way. It works. It’s affordable. And the support is unmatched.

Every legitimate online business knows it must prove itself. When a business like Online Profits Breakthrough makes big promises but does little to prove it’s trustworthiness, it’s always better to error on the side of caution. Most make money online offers are either scams, over-priced junk or worthless. When in doubt, assume it’s a loser.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary
