What is Countdown to Profits?

countdown-to-profits

If you visit the Countdown to Profits landing page, you would think they are offering limited positions for working from home. In this article, I reveal the hidden secrets about Countdown to Profits.

What is Countdown to Profits?

The landing page for Countdown to Profits doesn’t say what it is, other than to claim “you will be making real money working from the comfort of your own home.”

Also, the affiliate websites promoting Countdown to Profits reveal very little, except to make the same claim about making money.

If you visit the Countdown to Profits landing page and you want to know more about it, you will have to enter your name and email address.

Countdown to Profits is selling something.

Anytime a seller won’t tell you what they’re selling it’s safe to assume, it’s a scam.

With nothing else to go on, let’s just call Countdown to Profits a make-money-from-home-product.

What is Countdown to Profits hiding?

What is Countdown to Profits Cartoon

I can only speculate to answer that question, but two reasons come to mind.

First, Countdown to Profits wants your contact information. Your information is valuable and I suspect they will sell it, although they claim they won’t.

Also, once they have your contact information, they will no doubt aggressively try to sell you their products.

The second reason I suspect Countdown to Profits is secretive is they are dodging FTC regulations. Their landing page is regulated by the Federal Trade Commission. However, private correspondence is not regulated by the FTC.

In other words, once Countdown to Profits has your email address, or Heaven forbid, your phone number, they can promise you the moon without worrying about the FTC putting them in jail.

Claiming you will make money with Countdown to Profits is a blatant attempt to make you feel greedy for the pig in a poke they are selling.

Scammers use greed like a carpenter uses a hammer. They will pound you with it until you cannot possibly make a rational decision.

A Masterpiece of Deception.

The landing page for Countdown to Profits is a masterpiece of deception.

After studying the Countdown to Profits landing page, Terms of Service, Earnings Disclaimer, Privacy Policy and Purchase Agreement, I think it is doubtful you will make money with Countdown to Profits.

On the contrary, if you tangle with Countdown to Profits, it will cost you money, possibly a lot of money.

The Countdown to Profits Landing Page.

There are a couple of revealing details on the Countdown to Profits landing page.

The $500 guarantee at the top of the landing page is meaningless. Online guarantees cannot be enforced. I’ll have more to say about that in a moment when we visit the Countdown to Profits Purchase Agreement.

The line “Limited to Only 50 people” in the top right corner is nothing more than attempt to make you hurry up and enter your name and email address in the form. This is known in the industry as false scarcity. It also gives the false impression that you are applying for a position.

People make poor decisions when they’re in a hurry. Any sane person who has time to think it over is not going to get involved with Countdown to Profits. Countdown to Profits wants to make you feel greedy for the pig-in-a-poke they are selling.

Countdown to Profits is NOT a business opportunity. They even say so in their Terms of Service.

Finally, at the bottom of the landing page, you’ll see the depth of the Countdown to Profits deception. Notice the trademark icons for MSNBC, Fox News, CNN, USA Today and ABC.

You might think that Countdown to Profits has been featured on these popular media outlets. However, when you read the line above it, you’ll see that the inclusion of these icons is pure deception.

In small print, the line above these icons reads, “Work from home opportunities have been featured on:”

It does not claim that Countdown to Profits has been featured on these popular media outlets, although that is what is suggested.

In truth, these networks and news outlets have nothing to do with Countdown to Profits.

This tactic is pure deception. Deception is the stock and trade of a scammer.

What is Countdown to Profits?

Countdown to Profits Terms of Service.

At the bottom of the Countdown to Profits landing page, in tiny print, you’ll see links to the Terms of Service, Earnings Disclaimer, Privacy Policy and Purchase Agreement.

While the landing page says you’ll be making real money from the comfort of your home, the Terms of Service, Earnings Disclaimer, Privacy Policy and Purchase Agreement tell a different story.

For example, in the Terms of Service, you’ll find this sentence:

“The products and services provided on this site are for education and entertainment purposes only.”

Why would Countdown to Profits claim their money-making product is for entertainment purposes only? Maybe their make money product does not make money.

Just under that sentence in the Terms of Service, you will find this little revealing gem:

“This site is not offering a business opportunity of any kind.”

The landing page sure looked like some kind of business opportunity, didn’t it? They even promise $500 profit. Profit is in their name “Countdown to Profits.”

If you dig deeper into the Terms of Service, you’ll finally find what Countdown to Profits is selling. They are selling how to make money online digital products, services and mentoring.

Note the inclusion of mentors. I’ll have more to say about that in a moment.

In the Countdown to Profits Earning Disclaimer, they take back all the implied promises of the landing page.

Countdown to Profits Earning Disclaimer.

At the very top of the Countdown to Profits Earning Disclaimer page, they clearly and boldly state they don’t promise you a darn thing. Compare it to the landing page. There’s a big difference.

Countdown to Profits $500 Profit Guarantee.

Finally, to wrap up, let’s revisit the “$500 profit guaranteed” stated on the top left corner of the landing page.

The guarantee seems to imply that you are guaranteed to earn $500 profit. However, like everything else related to Countdown to Profits, the landing page giveth and the Purchase Agreement taketh away.

Online guarantees are meaningless. What would you do if you bought the Countdown to Profits products and wanted your money back? If they took your money, you can’t make them give it back.

The Countdown to Profits $500 guarantee is a promise to pay you $500 if you don’t make money in your first 30 days of using their products, services and mentoring. On the surface, it almost looks like a good deal.

But look a little deeper and you’ll realize to get the $500 you must complete 21 steps in 21 days.

Nowhere do they reveal what those 21 steps are. My guess is that included in those 21 steps is the required purchase of every product and service Countdown to Profits offers.

This is not a guarantee. It’s a sales strategy created to lure you in and sell you everything they have. You can bet your bottom dollar Countdown to Profits will earn a heck of a lot more than $500 too.

The Truth About Paid Internet Marketing Mentors.

Ask yourself, why would someone who knew how to make money online work as a mentor for an outfit like Countdown to Profits?

If you knew how to make money online, would you have a day job? Heck no!

The so-called mentors probably are nothing more than salespeople who know just enough to sound convincing as they talk you into buying the next level of training.

I mentor newbies for free. Most of the successful online marketers I know mentor newbies for free too.

If you’re paying for a mentor, you’re probably paying for a whole lot of nothing.

The Last Word about Countdown to Profits.

The 21-step learning process and the different levels noted in the Countdown to Profits Terms of Service are identical to the 21-step learning process and levels in MOBE, otherwise known as My Own Business Education, My Online Business Empire or My Top Tier Business (MTTB). They are all tentacles of the same beast with an awful online reputation. The Countdown to Profits website is a sneaky way to dodge their scam reputation and still snare people.

There is no reason to trust Countdown to Profits with your money. If you give them your name and email address, you will be the target of their marketing blitz.  Countdown to Profits is designed to take your money and nothing else.

If you want to make money online, there are honest and affordable places to learn.

Making money online is not complicated. It does not require expensive training or a paid mentor.

In fact, the most reputable place I know doesn’t even have a sales force and their starter membership is totally free.

No credit card needed. No tricks. No gimmicks.

If you want to learn how to make money online the right way, I recommend the Online Entrepreneur Certification Course. The starter level is totally free.

That’s a fair question. Until you are asked for money, you are not risking anything. Start by enrolling in the free starter level of the Online Entrepreneur Certification Course. As you follow the free training, you’ll be invited to upgrade to a paid level of membership at a discount. You’ll have 7 days to decide if the paid level is right for you. 1. Hey thanks for this review! I hate these scamming businesses, would you happen to have any info on elitedigitaleducation they also charge $500 for their courses, although it looks bette than these guys, im worried it could be a scam as well, anyways if you have time check them out, thanks!

    1. Thanks for stopping by. I don’t see anything about ElieDigitalEducation that would suggest they are a scam. However, they do not offer any details about their courses and do not have a guarantee. For these two reasons, I do not trust them. I think you would be risking your money and may be disappointed if you tried them. $500 would nearly pay for a year of training from Wealthy Affiliate, which I do recommend.

  2. Great review, I’ve come across these sorts of companies all the time. They scream dodgy. Unfortunately when your desperate to earn some money rational thinking goes out the window and they hook you in.
My tips to everyone if your not sure do a search for reviews on the company. You usually find some negatives comments very quickly if its dodgy.

    1. Hi, Graham!

You are so right. It’s important to check out these companies. Unfortunately, many of them make it look so appealing and people want to believe the business will save them from their troubles that many dive in head first. Then it’s too late. Countdown to Profits is all about taking people’s money. No good will come of it.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  3. This was a really interesting website about giving people the knowledge and information about scams going on with the people who are scamming on the internet. I like how you got into complete detail about the shady schemes that people do everyday on the internet. I have came across a scam like this before about if you sign up and change your mind you still get $500 which is a complete scam and also how they try to get you to hurry up and sign because only 50 people left that can sign up what a Joke, but anyway great website and keep up the great work That you’re putting into it.

    1. Hi, Marsean Morgan!

Thank you for your kind words. I’m on a mission to save as many people from scams as possible. Unfortunately, a lot of people are desperate to earn money. This makes them vulnerable to the online scams. And the scammers know exactly what they are doing too. Countdown to Profits is just one among thousands.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  4. Hi Gary,
Thank you for all the research you’ve done. Although I had not heard of “Count down to profit”, I am always looking for good ways to make money online. I always run into scams LOL. It’s great to have places like your page where we can find out more before we even bump into those scams. Do you have more sites that you have done research? Once again, thanks for all you do.
    Rene

    1. Hi, Rene!

Sorry to hear you ran into some scams, but I’m not surprised. They got me too. Countdown to Profits is one of the worse because it leads people to MOBE and MOBE is like a black hole sucking money out of people. You don’t want to go there.

I’m constantly investigating online scams. It’s a pleasure to help people avoid them.

If you are searching for a legitimate place to learn online marketing, I recommend Wealthy Affiliate.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  5. Great article Gary!

Countdown to Profits…more like Countdown to broke!!!

So many con men and women out there. You have certainly exposed these rip off merchants.

I feel for the elderly who are being scammed all the time by these types.

Not sure how they get away with it. I have noticed that google police are cracking down on scams and reviews so hopefully they can clean these guys up.

    Thanks again,

    Kev

    1. Hi, Kev!

Exactly, Countdown to Profits should be called Countdown to Broke. I do hope Google de-indexes these guys and everyone like them.

You’re right, the elderly are at the most at risk and the least able to afford it. My 87 year mother got scammed two months ago. The scammers took over her computer and were searching for her bank accounts. Fortunately, she doesn’t trust technology with her banking. She does it the old fashion way and goes to the bank!

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  6. Countdown to profits uses tactics that I’ve honestly seen everywhere and am sick and tired of. Especially using icons of media outlets to build credibility.

How slick yet despicable! To think that thousands of people struggling to make cash get scammed of even more for trying something new.

By the way, the free wealthy affiliate membership is awesome. I got so much value out of the free version I might actually consider upgrading!

    1. Hi, Cerulean!

Yes, unfortunately, the people who get taken by Countdown to Profits and other scammers are the very people who can least afford it. This is what gets me out of bed in the morning. I can’t investigate and write fast enough to catch all the scammers, but I can sure get a bunch. And I will.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the free starter membership at Wealthy Affiliate. It’s the real deal.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  7. Hi there Gary,

Outstanding and thorough review of countdown to profits . Left me in absolutely no doubt that this product is an absolute scam and quite possibly run by the same cowboys behind MOBE and MTTB.

Why theses guys and others insist on cheating people out of their hard earned money I will never know as earning money online is not that difficult!

    1. Hi, Derek Marshall!

Thanks for your kind words. Yes, I’m convinced Countdown to Profits is just another deceptive website leading to MOBE and MTTB. Good question, why are these guys cheating people when it’s easier to build a legitimate business? I think there is something wrong with them, like a malignant personality disorder.

Making money online does take commitment and patience, but it’s a lot easier than working a dead-end job with a stupid boss. I remember when my website made $500 in two days while I was camping at the beach. That’s when I knew I wanted to get good at internet marketing.

The trick is to avoid scams like Countdown to Profits and the zillions of other scams out there. I learned at Wealthy Affiliate. Click here to learn more.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  8. Thank you for this review of Countdown for Profits!
You are right! Just by looking at it initially, it looks like a work from home opportunity, but this really is deception at the highest level.
This has all the hallmarks of a scam, and I will definitely be staying well away from it.
Thanks for this review, and giving the heads up about this program.
I liked the adde touch of the video too! Great job 🙂

    1. Hi, John!

Thank you for your kind words and encouragement.

You are so right, Countdown to Profits is nothing but a trap leading to heartache and ruin. The MOBE/MTTB people behind the Countdown to Profits website are after big money and will not hesitate to max out someone’s credit card. Getting involved with them is a mistake that will cost dearly.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  9. Don’t you just love the websites that keep telling you how you’ll make so much money from the comfort of your own home without giving you the slightest clue as to how that will actually be? I suppose if I just sign up and pay x amount of dollars for your program all the money will just magically jump into my account without me doing a thing. Yea that would be nice. Unfortunately, I live in reality.

Countdown to profits sounds just like that, and that’s only from me skimming through their site. That’s the impression they give me.

    1. Hi, Jaylin!

I think you nailed it. The truth is, I doubt anyone makes money with Countdown to Profits except the man behind the curtain. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

Unfortunately, too many people fall for these kinds of traps and it is usually the people who can least afford it.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  10. Hi Gary, it’s crazy but every affiliate promoting MOBE seems to create deceitful website with false promises and fake testimonials. It just proves to me that MOBE is a very dodgy platform… Indeed, when I visited their site I saw for myself that it is a Multi level marketing company. I would say they are more like a pyramid scheme because the product they sell is rubbish. that’s why they need to lie in order to sell them. I advice everyone to stay away from Mobe and check out Wealthy Affiliate instead.

  11. Wowww. You burned them up lolll. Glad I found your site. That Countdown to profit stuff sure sounds slimy. A lots of smoke and mirrors looks like.
When I looked at the picture on the video I was like yikeess. Then I played the video and while it was playing I was like yikess for another reason. Thanks for the review.

  12. Countdown to profits sounds like something I wouldn’t even buy into. But, I suppose there are people who are gullable and would jump in. I hear of so many similar companies out there doing business selling digital products (tutorials), then expecting you to bring people into the company. Wealthy Affiliate teaches you the right way, then it is up to you to make it work.
    Thank you,
    Ed Mijarez

    1. Hi, Ed!

I think some people are desperate to improve their finances and hoping for a miracle when they join scams like Countdown to Profits. Or, perhaps just gullible as you mention.

I agree, Wealthy Affiliate is the only place I know of that teaches how to really make money online in a fair and honest manner. Their free starter membership makes it easy for anyone to check them out without risking a cent.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary

  13. Never heard of Countdown to Profits, but if their landing page didn’t give it away, your review definitely confirms they are a scam.

Great detailed write up and I’m sure you have saved many many people already from losing their money to these people. It’s a shame that there’s always someone trying to take the easy route and make a living by tricking people.

    1. Hi, Jose!

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate your comment and kind words.

The more scams I find, the more seem to pop up. And earlier comment suggested that Countdown to Profits is actually a facade website that channels people to another business called My Online Business Empire or My Online Business Education, otherwise known as MOBE.

MOBE has 21 steps and gets very expensive, costing tens of thousands of dollars for dubious training. Countdown to Profits also has 21 steps and a fake guarantee that is much like MOBE’s.

Hopefully, in time, the search engines will filter these scammers out. Until then, I’ll warn as many people as I can.

      All the best,

      Gary

  14. Great job on your review of countdown to profits. I agree with you it is a scam. They counterdic themselves when they say one thing in the video and say totally something else in the fine print. Like they say in the video you can make slot of money with this system then they claim in the fine print it is just for entertainment and educational purposes. Have you heard that it is just a funnel to go to MOBE?

    1. Hi, Tim!

Thanks for stopping by. I haven’t heard that Countdown to Profits is a sales funnel for My Online Business Empire. Thanks for pointing that out. I’ll look into it.

It doesn’t surprise me if it is a sales funnel for MOBE. I found a few other sites that are nearly identical to Countdown to Profits which suggests it is a sales funnel. I’ll investigate more closely and update my article.

      All the best,

      Gary

  15. I almost laugh when I read, their Terms & Condition. Entertainment purpose only? Or Educational? What is all the joke about? And the site is not offering any business opportunity? I think they are covering up themselves with the tiny words in their Terms. And with multiple upsells, this will be one of those programs I will avoid at all cost.

    1. Hi, Kenny Lee!

      Thanks for stopping by.

You are so right. The big print giveth and the small print taketh away. I recently discovered a second online scam that is so similar to Countdown to Profits I suspect they are both owned by the same company. The Terms of Service are almost identical.

The only legitimate place I know of to learn how to build an online business is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s affordable and it works. There’s not reason to pay a lot to learn how to make money with the internet.

      All the best,

      Gary

  16. I had never heard of countdown to profits but based on your review, they really do look like a shady scam. I am very sick and tired of all these scams circulating around the internet and really wish and hope authorities will bust them sooner or later. Sorry for venting my anger because I know what it feels like to be scammed as I have been a victim before.
Why would you trust a company that doesn’t reveal what they are trying to sell you? That’s a no-brainer it’s definitely some type of deceptive spell they are trying to cast on you. Good review! Keep them coming

    1. Hi, Kent!

Thanks for stopping by. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been scammed. It happened to me too, more than once.

It seems for anyone who is trying to learn how to really make money online, getting scammed is a right of passage. Some scams hurt more than others.

Countdown to Profits has been around for a few years, so apparently, they are successful with their scam. Unfortunately.

I’ve exposed scams that try to steal as much as $20,000. That would be devastating to most people. It would for me. This is the reason I recommend Wealthy Affiliate, there is not risk to try it and if you chose to upgrade to the paid membership the cost is affordable. And, here’s the best thing about Wealthy Affiliate, it really does teach you how to make money online, the right way, the way that works.

      All the best,

      Gary

  17. Hey there, and great review. I never heard about countdown to profits, and they look like a total scam from their landing page. Gees, services that sells courses about how to make money online? REALLY?
What a classic review of a pure scam. Hah, just out of curiosity, I wonder who is the owner. Like, what did he thought, that we are THAT stupid?
A great tweak to his “sales-copy” would be to at least make it look good.
Thanks for a wonderful review, and a great video!

    1. Hi, Alexey!

      Thanks for stopping by.

I wasn’t able to find the name of the owner of Countdown to Profits, only the corporate address.

The landing page appears designed to hook someone into thinking they are guaranteed to earn $500. Unfortunately, reading the Terms of Service show that the so-called earning guarantee is really just a sales hook to trick people into buying all of the products and services.

For example, one of the services Countdown to Profits sells is a goal setting session with a mentor. There’s really no reason to have a mentor help you with your goals. My guess is the so-called mentor is just a salesperson who will talk you into buying the next product.

While the landing page promises you’ll make money, the Terms of Service states that Countdown to Profits is not promising a thing.

      You’re right, a pure scam.

      All the best,

      Gary
