What is Paid Surveys at Home?

Paid Surveys at Home is a broker type membership site that connects its members with survey sites.

It charges a monthly fee to provide a list of companies that claim to pay people to complete surveys online.

ScamAvenger Girl, says “Thumbs Down!”

The truth is, you can find these same companies online for free. You don’t need to pay anyone for the information.

Making someone pay to take surveys is a blatant scam warning.

Never, ever pay to take surveys!

Another obvious warning is the income claims stated on the Paid Surveys at Home website. Here’s what it claims are the member benefits: “Stay at home, whenever, wherever, take surveys and get paid $5 to $75.”

That line is carefully crafted to give the impression you can work from home and earn$5 to $75 per survey, but if you look at it again, you’ll see there is no time frame associated with the implied income. Is that $5 to $75 per survey or $5 to $75 per year? These income claims are wildly unrealistic and intentionally misleading.

Most people never make ANY MONEY with surveys!

Some struggle to earn $10 a month.

There are a few people who treat completing surveys like a business and make about $100 or $200 a month after working many, many hours. They are probably earning less than $1 an hour.

I have never heard of anyone who has earned enough to live on by completing surveys.

If you join Paid Surveys at Home. You will only be wasting your money.

Paid Surveys at Home Member Benefits

In case you’re curious, here’s what you get if you do sign up for Paid Surveys at Home. You get a small eBook with a list of paid survey sites. Many of these sites are also scams and will charge you to join or will trick you into buying products by claiming you must buy the product so you can complete a survey about it.

Do you see a pattern here? Paid Surveys at Home scams you and then sells you down the river to more scam survey sites.

And it gets worse. Paid Surveys at Home will bill you each month for as long as you are a member. In other words, you are paying them for the privilege of getting ripped-off. Ouch!

The Reality of Paid Surveys.

I’m convinced that 90% of the survey sites are scams. Some are only out to get your personal information which they sell to marketing companies. Others will trick you into giving them your credit card information and purchasing crappy products and services no one in their right mind would buy.

I’m suspicious of all online survey websites, even those with stellar reputations.

Very few survey sites pay money. Most merely award points that are redeemable for prizes or entry into sweepstakes.

You can’t take these points to the grocery store. Completing surveys is a game, a time-consuming game that ultimately leads to the survey company getting what they want and you getting little or nothing.

In other words, surveys are a waste of time.

And it gets worse, if you join a survey website, your personal information may be collected and sold across the internet.

If you have already joined Paid Surveys at Home and regret it, you may be able to get your money back through ClickBank. Paid Surveys at Home is marketed through ClickBank and ClickBank has a 60-day money back guarantee. Contact ClickBank directly to find out.

Positive Reviews of Paid Surveys at Home.

There are plenty of positive reviews of Paid Surveys at Home online. However, every positive review I found has an affiliate link in it directing you to join Paid Surveys at Home.

In other words, if you join Paid Surveys at Home through that link, the person who wrote the review will earn a commission.

That’s not an honest review. That’s a sales pitch!

Paid Surveys at Home Complaints.

With a little searching, you will find a lot of Paid Surveys at Home complaints. Most of the complaints are about how the same information Paid Surveys at Home sells can be gotten for free online or how the survey sites Paid Surveys at Home lists are scams. Here are some Paid Surveys at Home complaints I found online.

“I was asked to pay $49.95 US so they could reveal the best companies that paid the best for doing online surveys. All I got was competitions, no surveys, plus more companies asking for more money. Total Rip off, very disgusted . . .” (complaintsboard.com)

“Paid Surveys at Home is a scam.” (reviewopedia.com)

“Totally fake and big scammer. Do not join it if you joined you will waste your money . . .” (reviewopedia.com)

Paid Surveys at Home BBB
Paid Surveys at Home BBB

Paid Surveys at Home is not a member of the Better Business Bureau. However, the BBB does have a listing for Paid Surveys at Home and several complaints registered.

Paid Surveys at Home gets a big fat “F” from the BBB.

The Last Word on Paid Surveys at Home.

Paid Surveys at Home pretends to help you make money by completing surveys and sells a list of survey companies. Paid Surveys at Home will also try to talk you into several expensive upsells, plus charge you each month for membership.

Paid Surveys at Home does not offer anything that you couldn’t find for free on the internet.

However, completing surveys is a lousy way to make money. It’s time-consuming, usually doesn’t pay in cash and pays very little.

At best, completing surveys is a huge waste of time. Completing surveys may compromise your privacy, trick you into revealing your credit card information, expose your email inbox to waves of spam and invite endless phone calls from telemarketers.

In other words, it’s not worth it.

  1. Hi Gary. Thank you for your review.
I’ve tried some other companies offering people ways to make money by completing surveys.
Although I haven’t paid anything to be accepted, I haven’t earned much as well – for almost a year it was less than 50 dollars. Nothing.
I would say that most of these are a waste of time. I don’t know what the main problem is (if they are ok to try). My experience showed that I just didn’t receive any invitations for reviews – was it because my profile was not appealing to companies or was it just the way this one provider worked, I don’t know.
But thank you for sharing your review with us. People need to be careful, especially when offering their time and money.
    All the best!

    1. Hi, Ellie!

Thanks for telling us about your experience with survey companies.

I haven’t found any evidence online that suggests surveys are worth the effort. On the contrary, they are a waste a time and may compromise someone’s personal information, not to mention the boatloads of spam that often fill a person’s inbox after filling out a survey.

      It’s just not worth it.

      All the best,

      Gary

  2. Hello to you GaryHorton!

Perfect niche to write about on your website. Earning money is the number one problem for people all over the world. If I can earn money through surveys even when I am trying to get a download, that will surely be helpful. Thank you for making this website I have surely learned a lot and my daughter is now going to try online surveys to make money. Nice work, keep it up. Very helpful website!

    1. Hi, Edna!

  3. Hi, Gary!
Scammers these days are getting craftier and craftier with ideas how to get money from a hard working folk. I, myself have tried online surveys but even the so called genuine ones are a waste of time. I’ve never made any money. I didn’t realize that some of them charge you for “a privilege” to waste your time. It\s totally disgusting. I’m glad that there are people like yourself out there to name and shame these scammers. Well done! Thanks for the warning.

    P.S. I love you video 🙂

    1. Hi, Kasia!

You are so right. The online scammers for geniuses at taking people’s money. Usually, it’s the people who can least afford to lose money that get taken in by the scams. Paid Surveys at Home is one of the worse I’ve seen.

I wish more people would realize that making money online is no different than making money off-line except it’s easier. Before anyone can make money, they must first offer something of value in the market place.

That means if they want to make money online, they need a website and a business. This short video shows how to get started with an online business for free.

      Thanks for stopping by Kasia,

      Gary

  4. Thanks for helping to get the word out about Paid Surveys At Home. This is a huge scam as are paid surveys in general. I have reviewed dozens of sites related to making money online or working from home. Most list taking online surveys as an option. Really? By the end of the post most confess that you’ll be incredibly lucky to earn $20 a month. What’s the point?

    1. Hi, Linda!

Thanks for stopping by. Like you, I was puzzled when I read that you can make money with surveys. Later, I found out that the websites that recommend surveys are actually trying to get you to sign up under their affiliate link. Or, they might be promoting the Paid Surveys at Home program.

In other words, if they can get you to sign up with a survey site, they make a commission. The saddest part, is they will only make a dollar or two for causing someone to waste hours of their time and possibly compromise their privacy. It’s a dirty trick.

      Surveys aren’t worth it.

If someone wants to make money online, I mean make more than $20 a month, as you mention, they will have to build their own business. Building an online business is easier than most people would imagine and it doesn’t cost much either. This short video is a good way to start.

Thanks for taking the time to comment,

      Gary

  5. Hey, Gary!

When I decided for some additional income, I looked through many options online world is offering. One of these were also surveys. Whenever I intend to do anything, I usually run some research and do analysis on it to make sure it is the right thing to do. The same I did with online surveys, but the deeper I dig, the more I found and at the end the verdict was not to do this. Luckily for me as many of these ads are so tempting and promising. So you are doing a great job on informing people about online scams as when people are desperate, they usually tend to believe scam promises.

    1. Hi, Arta!

Thanks so much for your comment. I agree, unfortunately, it is the people who can least afford to lose money who are taken by these scams. Good for you that you thought to research surveys before getting involved.

Paid Surveys at Home is a real stinker. There really is no way to win with online surveys. Even the so-called legitimate ones are risky and pay very little.

If you’re interested in a legitimate way to earn money online, this short video will get you started.

      All the best,

      Gary

  6. You are so right. Why pay to get a list of survey sites that you can find on your own on the internet. There are a couple of survey sites that do pay and have regular surveys, as I used to use them.

You don’t make a fortune, but can get some pocket money. I still don’t think in most cases taking surveys is the best use of time, but useful if you need a quick buck. I can’t believe you have to pay monthly to belong to a site such as this.

    1. Hi, Michel!

Thanks for visiting and taking a moment to comment.

Paid Surveys at Home is a real stinker. I hate that they are taking people’s money and offering nothing of value in return.

Unfortunately, I’m convinced that the people who can least afford to lose money are more often the ones who get ripped-off. I hope they read this and take the initiative to build their own online business.

This is a great way to get started.

      All the best,

      Gary

  7. At one time I was looking at doing surveys but the more I looked into it the more I couldn’t understand how anyone made any money at it. I am glad you are shining some light on this issue. I can’t believe someone would pay to do this! It is crazy how many scams there are out there! I am glad sites like your exist to expose that!

    1. Hi, Heather!

I tried surveys when I started out, what a mistake! I didn’t make any money, my inbox was flooded with spam and my phone rang all the time with telemarketer calling. It was a nightmare and I didn’t make any money either.

Since then, I’ve studied a lot of survey sites and read countless privacy policies and terms of service agreements. I’m convinced you can’t win with surveys. It’s all a con.

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Gary
